Australia was amazing. I took pics with a koala, kangaroo, etc.
Pre-term/CIM week (orientation, section) kicked off with all 600 incoming students going into 1 of 8 sections. Everyday for 3 weeks, we start our day at 7am- at least midnight.... I am a proud member of the MOOSE Section 67. For the next 3 weeks we will be engaged in competitive activities, going out getting to know our section peers & others. So far, the Moose won 2nd place in the Cheer competition which involved all 61 of my sectionmates screaming & dancing to a 3min cheer, part of which was proposed by me. I came up with Moosilicious, a play off of Destiny Child's Bootylicious & we also did Baby Got Back using Moose-like lyrics, a HOT Indian chant Hasigerigladi, moose ah, mouse ah & a ready to rumble football chant. Who's house is this? Moose House! Moose House! I almost lost my voice screaming for our team & against the other sections the Highlanders, Jive Turkeys, Bucketheads, Cash Cows, Big Dogs, Bullfrogs & the Poets. At night we party it up with our classmates!
Tonight, in addition to all the amazing section mates & team, I met Bill who gave me such a thorough summary of private equity, I left our discussion thinking I need to have him on my team if I plan to have my own company. Also with a feeling of, I am that much closer to making my dream come true. Private equity BASICALLY involves investing in start-up companies. Bill gave me insightful info on why companies, succeed, some deals he had worked on, risk mgmt.... good stuff. I continue to be amazed by my fellow Kellogg classmates!!!!!!!!
